We (Nadine and Renée) have been cooking and baking together for years. We grew up in the same town, married brothers, and now live right down the road from one another. Our kids ride bikes to “auntie’s house”, and there is always something on the stove, in the oven, or cooling on a rack. After college, and 10 years in the marketing world, I (Nadine) went to Culinary school in NYC, fine-tuned recipes for Dean & Deluca, started a family, and worked as a personal chef. Along the way there was always ice cream. From standing in line at my childhood haunt in NJ (Cliffs Dairy Maid, Double Dark Chocolate Fudge Crunch, thank you!) to the first batch in culinary school (green tea with candied ginger) to the relentless pursuit of the perfect strawberry. I am a girl on a mission to create the creamiest, most flavorful ice cream around.
Renee’s the brains behind our handmade ice cream sandwiches. Raised in an Italian family, cooking and baking comes naturally and from the heart. She spent 15 years in the pharmaceutical industry while raising twins, and has made her fair share of cookies. But that was amateur hour compared to the relentless pursuit of the perfect ice cream sandwich cookie. Never giving up, hundreds of batches later, she’s nailed it.
Our guiding principal has always been, if you start with the best ingredients available, treat them with the utmost care and respect, the end result will be delicious. It’s why we seek out partners with the same philosophy, and is at the forefront of everything we do. We hope you love our ice cream as much as we love making it for you.
